Review:

Myth: 4/5

I haven’t read the Of Goblin King’s series, but this was a great short story introducing us to the world of the Goblins in the Fae courts. It also gives us a small glimpse into Freya and the Goblin King who I see will be the leads in the follow on series.

I enjoyed Esther and Lux’s story. It was not a traditional stolen bride, in that more than anything Esther really wanted a reason to leave the life that she was living. Lux just happened to be it. Of course, we still got our romance and happily ever after out of the story, but it was a fun twist on the usual woman taken captive story.

Magic: 4/5

I really enjoyed the magic of this short story. No one understand the magic or tradition of the stolen goblin bride (though they were sure it had to be done). None of the Goblins would help Esther or Lux figure out their new life in the Autumn Court. This left a lot to the characters to stumble through, and it perfectly for them.

Overall 4/5

Though a short story, the Stolen Goblin Bride is a wonderful introduction to Esther and Lux and to the world of the fae and the Autumn Court where Goblin roam.
