Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

Ariadne had a delightful ‘coming out of her shell’ character arc, definitely enhanced with support from her fae lord, but absolutely all her own. Ariadne and Lysander take some time warming up to each other, but once they’ve set aside traditional prejudices of their races, they have good chemistry.

This story was a little longer than some of the other Stolen Brides of the Fae and it put more time into seeing Ari’s character in her home setting and her initial journey to Elfhame with Lysander. Both helped to focus on Ari’s character growth so it was fine with me.

Magic: 4/5

Ari is a fae-blessed human and Lysander is a fae with a magic problem. There was plenty of magic to play with on both sides and it was built well into the world. Ari’s threadwitch magic was certainly a big focus, but so Lysander’s and the overall mysteries to be found in Elfhame.

Overall: 3.5/5

A fun trip to the fae lands. What started as a girl stolen from her village as part of a centuries old bargain turned into the life changing adventure she didn’t realize she needed.
