Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4/5

Once again Andrea Stewart brings a depth of the human into her epic fantasy world. Her characters are so well done, with impressive depths. The second book in The Drowning Empire showcases an empire in transition. Lin tries to make herself known in a way that her family hasn’t done in years, but it may be too late for the citizens who have already chosen other paths.

Magic: 4/5

Mephi continues to be my favorite and we get to see even more of what Mephin and Jovis’s bond really means.

Overall: 4/5

Tension builds, wars loom and leaders are trying to make the right decisions for their people. Book two ends with a bang and is a nice steady build to get there.
