Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

Book one ends with such a big bang, it’s hard to believe that book two can keep up the pace, but it really does deliver. With so much uncertainty and so few she can trust, Casia sets out to at least figure out her own magic. She is very task oriented and plan focused in the midst of all she knows crumbling, I find this super relatable in such a magical powerhouse of a character, especially with her anxiety.

Though everything is uncertain, expect the found family constant, and expect that pesky Elander to keep showing up with possibly even more revelations.

Magic: 4.5/5

This book plays with one of my least favorite tropes (I won’t go into it because, spoiler), but it does it well. With another huge cliffhanger in this one, there will be a lot of magic to unpack about the endings ramifications that I just can’t wait to get into.

Overall: 4.5/5

Another epic installment in the Shadows and Crowns series. Casia tries to tackle one problem at a time, though they seem to be stacking up and Elander has to figure out who he serves and weigh the costs. Lot’s of action and plenty of romance to keep you turning pages until another big ending.
