Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 5/5

I always have to sit and stare into the middle distance after finishing a Cassandra Clare book. She tells stories so well, even with so many characters to follow. This story sweeps from Cordelia and Matthew in Paris, all the way to the final epic showdown with Belial back in London. I felt like I knew ever character in the Merry Thieves as well as Cordelia. They all get plenty of page time and their stories are so satisfying.

Magic: 5/5

The battle against Belial has been building for the entire trilogy. A big battle looms, and Cordelia’s inability to fight, given what it means for her as a paladin, builds amazing tension.

Overall: 5/5

I’ve been reading Shadowhunter books for 15 years. I love Cassandra Clare’s world and the beautiful characters that she builds in each of the various generations. Cordelia’s story was perfect, so many scenes that want to rip your heart out, but Cassandra Clare does put you back together at the end.
