This was such a fun return to Kate and Curran’s story. It hit all the high points you’ve come to expect from the pair. They get involved when they say they won’t when they see injustices being done. They have each others backs sometimes unspoken. Kate also really nails all my favorite character points within this short story.
Magic: 4.5/5
Sea creatures, gods and more. The same magic and mayhem that we came to expect in post-shift Atlanta is in Wilmington, but with more sea creatures.
Overall: 4.5/5
I’m so excited for this part of Kate and Curran’s journey. It seems like it will have some new and some familiar faces as they try and extricate themselves from Pack area and stand up a life of their own.
