Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

They’re finally trying to have their wedding, you just know that everything that can get thrown at them will. Kate and Curran have no shortage of trouble before the big day. Though we’ve had prophecy in the series in the past, it takes more of a center stage here as a lot of the group’s actions are based around trying to prevent specific outcomes. I loved the attempting to change the future and knowing the future causing the events to come to pass.

I also have to say that I adored Christopher’s story. He’s been hanging around for a few books now just waiting to debut his own brand of weird. He delivered.

Magic: 4.5/5

This was a magical showdown that I was really into, Kate vs Kate. It was so unique for the series because it Kate thinking something, then having to interrupt her own thoughts to say “wait, maybe I don’t want that” and try and sort through it. This combined with Kate finally getting some kind of teacher really made the magic evolution in this installment pop.

Overall: 4.5/5

Kate takes on her biggest challenge yet, not her father, but herself. She wants security and safety for her family and friends but how far will she go to get it? It was a true delight to have this huge inner battle and ongoing conflicts with her father interspersed with standard wedding preparation. It definitely lead to laugh out loud moments as the priest of the God of Evil played wedding planner. Buckle up for another fun installment. I can’t believe it’s almost over.
