Review:
Myth: 4/5
The epic conclusion of Kate and Curran’s story did not disappoint. The battle for Atlanta is imminent and it looks as bleak as ever. Kate has to call in all favors. An old, dangerous enemy may be enough to even forgive past enemies for a chance at survival. On top of all of this, Kate and Curran have an eighteen month old running around, bound to become a power in his own right.
I love the scale of the finale, it had all the inside jokes between characters you’ve come to expect, it had new and old bad guys to deal with and the life that Kate has been fighting for within her grasp.
Magic: 4/5
Somehow after ten books, the Ilona Andrews team was still able to bring in new magical elements to keep it interesting. Favorite characters are up to new schemes and Kate and Curran’s son is an enigma.
Overall: 4/5
While the conclusion of Kate and Curran’s story, their daughter Julie is getting her own spin off series. It was a good place to stop with plenty of room left to explore the post shift world through other eyes.
