Book two in the Night Prince series continues to follow the character Vlad from Frost’s Night Huntress and his lover Leila. Time to figure out if Vlad is going to let love into his life.
Myth: 3/5
We all saw this one coming. In book one Vlad and Leila started their relationship with “love” off the table. That couldn’t last for long. Leila does what she must for herself. I don’t think I’d have liked the series much if this went any other way.
Magic: 3/5
Magic starts to exist in this story in this book. It’s small, but I think we’ll see more of the story line built around magic use, just like we did, to some extent, in the Night Huntress series.
Overall: 3/5
Just glad that it was Leila that got to move things along in this book. Her choices of when to ask for help, who to trust, and on what terms to let people into her life. This was a more promising start to her navigating the vampire world.
