Goodreads synopsis

The action never stops for Cat & Bones.

Myth: 3/5

Again, we think that Cat & Bones could use a break. A nice holiday in Paris, but even going to Paris seems to have been part of Gregor’s plan. Mencheres has certainly filled the role in this series as the puppetmaster. He always knows more than he says, but for the most part lets the kids figure it out. Consider him the series’ Gandalf, or Dumbledore character. Some may say this is where he goes a bit too far, by hiding parts of Cat’s past for the greater good.

Cat and Bones end up in a world of trouble as they fight off another master vampire but also fight against vampire law. Don’t worry, the action and romance stay high.

Magic: 3/5

Cat is a full fledged vampire in this book and that comes with its own quirks. No one knew what would happen when she turned, and it of course was non-standard. Not only does Cat drink vampire blood (instead of human blood), she gains powers from the master vampires from which she drinks….at least for a limited time. This comes in handy when you’re bffs with Vlad, the vampire that’s famously pyrokinetic.

Overall: 3/5

This is still a quick paced read, with fun characters and a story that leaves you wanting more.
