Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

Part of me just wants to write “finally” as my review. Biting Bad is the installment that I’ve been waiting for. We get to see Merit and Ethan operating as a united front, an unstoppable team against all of the forces set against them in Chicago. I’m all for building the romantic tension, and a little ‘will they, won’t they’ but I think Merit and Ethan’s went on a little too long and had me sort of just pushing through books 5-7.

I’m happy to report that this book still gives us plenty of drama (nothing is ever easy for the Cadogan vampires). We have GP drams, Chicago political disasters and Mallory trying to figure out what to do after her shifter rehab program. But through all of that Merit and Ethan are communicative, sexy and in charge.

Magic: 4/5

I love urban fantasy books because they tend to blend science and magic to fun new levels, expect a bit of that.

Overall: 3.5/5

An entertaining installment, bringing new challenges for our heroes but the tried and true cast of friends and allies to help them figure it out. Evolving politics with the GP and the humans in Chicago are getting messier than ever and Merit and Ethan do what they can to shelter their people from the ever present dangers.
