Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

There is a lot of drama rolled into this one, as per usual. We’ve got G.P. drama, murder drama and of course Merit and Ethan drama. I was really hoping not to have the latter in this story now that they had finally made it to relationship status, but it was no to be. While the progression of their relationship will inevitably lead to disagreements, it’s really how they deal with them that kills me. I guess it’s in the most dramatic way possible, so as to keep me turning pages, but it also makes me not want to root for the character.

Magic: 3/5

While there aren’t any new magical elements introduced to the world, we get a lot of vampire history and a heavy dose of vampire politics.

Overall: 3.5/5

Big things are coming for Cadogan House as it braces to become a rogue vampire establishment, outside of the G.P.’s purview. Things are never simple for Merit and Ethan as they try and make the right decisions for the house and less right decisions in their relationship.
