Review:

Myth: 2.5/5

It was bound to happen after 15 books, but this installment of the Guild Hunter series just wasn’t for me. It mostly had to do with the romance, the leads are Archangels Alexander and Zanaya and they have the love that spans eons but burns so hot they can’t make it work. It’s an exhausting type of romance to me and because of the start/stop nature of it, the storytelling was pretty episodic, giving you glimpses of their relationship throughout time.

Magic: 3/5

The Guild Hunter world that we’ve come to know and love, with glimpses into the far past as well as up to and just past the present timeline from the last installment. I would have enjoyed a bit more in the current timeline, but the overall world building was strong.

Overall: 3/5

The writing was still exquisite, and if you like the start/stop, there’s no one else but we can’t make it work romance then this one is definitely for you.
