Review:

Myth: 5/5

When Titus and Sharine were first thrown together, I was a little weary. I had also come to see The Hummingbird as a person to be cared for and treasured. While in the last book, she had started to show more of an interest in the world, she still seems a little fragile. That however, was just an impression. Sharine wants to move on from being fractured and lost. Titus, though also at first very confused about this new Sharine, when he was expecting the Hummingbird, is happy to have an ally instead of a guest to be protected.

Fantastic juxtaposition between slight Sharine and booming Titus, but also a healthy reminder that appearances aren’t everything and strength comes in many forms.

Magic: 5/5

In the aftermath of the Archangel’s War, the Cadre are working tirelessly to rebuild their territories and to take back their territories from Lijuan’s reborn. Titus has more work than most as he is dealing with what the Archangel of Disease has left him. Mutated strains of reborn roam Africa and the Cadre has sent Sharine, The Hummingbird to help him.

Overall: 5/5

Another fantastic installment in the Guild Hunter series. I wasn’t even expecting a story so focused on the character known as the Hummingbird, but as soon as I got one, I don’t know how I went so long without it!
