Goodreads Synopsis

Myth:4/5

Everyone’s favorite druid is back. Or maybe he’s just my favorite druid. This book brings us back for closure on Zak’s match up against the Varvara. They last crossed paths in Demon Magic and a Martini, and Tori and boys barely escaped with their lives. Afterward, Zak was forced into hiding, shutting down his farm and relocating those in his care.

Zak is out for revenge, some might say he’s consumed by it. With Tori as the closest thing to a friend that he has, she tries her best to balance his need for revenge with keeping those that she loves safe. But can she do this on top of trying to save Ezra? And oh wait, Kai’s family just jumped back in the picture with their own twisted agenda too?!

Magic:4/5

Tori has become a power in her own right. Yeah, she hangs with the toughest mages in the guild, but she has also collected an arsenal of weapons so that she’s not a liability but an asset in battle. The fact that she’s been training with the boys hasn’t hurt either. The real revelation of this book is what that magic is worth to her, and trying to figure out how to fit in with or without it.

Overall:4/5

I’ve not been shy that I’m a sucker for Zak’s character. Without too many spoilers, the end of battle scenes in this were heartbreaking. I need to keep reading to figure out what happens next.
