Review:

Myth: 5/5

It is no secret that The Ghost was a favorite in mine in the prior Guild Codex books. I expected to love this series simply because it featured his ongoing adventures, but I adored the new heroine, Saber, who’s story is really being told.

Saber checked all my favorite boxes. She was aggressive, a little scary and willing to get her hands very dirty. I loved being in her head. She was processing so much and trying to put on such a ‘normal’ face, even in the mythic world.

Magic: 4/5

I really liked this series’ concept because even though the concept of the fae have been introduced in the other books, they are not a prominent feature. The focus until now has been much more on the demon side (which was fun as well). This dives into the fae, I’ll say that this is book one so there is still plenty to explore, but it was a great start.

Overall: 5/5

A great read, Unveiling the mysteries of the fae in the Guild Codex world. While reading the other Guild Codex books certainly made this one more enjoyable, it’s definitely written to be able to pick. up and start here. Book one definitely ends on a cliffhanger so now we’re eagerly awaiting book two!
